MQL - the MT4 language

Dear Traders !
I was kind of surprised cause i have'nt seen this quetion on the forum , so i'am about to ask : How important is that to learn programming mql4 ?
I have just started by the way and seems like it's kind of hard to learn for me .
But there are big opportunities , for example i have a strategy want to retest i can have the results i guess . But since the market always changing maybe i just have to sit at the monitor . What do You think ?
And where should i start to learn that ?
Another important question : Is there a need for me to learn that ? How useful is that practically ?
